C. Bruce Willson brings considerable experience to a clients file. His practice is centered mainly in the areas of criminal law and real estate and estate law. Bruce has been a successful counsel in many serious criminal trials. Has has tried well over 100 jury trials and has considerable understanding of the criminal law and procedure. Bruce also has developed a large real estate and estate practice with the assistance of Maria Spina and Brandon Gough. Bruce is also an adjunct Professor of Law at Algoma University.
Joseph R. Greco was called to the Bar on January 26th, 2018. Joseph has been working with Bruce since he was a law student and benefits extensively from the experience of Mr. Willson. Joseph practices criminal law, corporate law, real estate law, and estates law. Joseph also has an interest in alternative dispute resolution, specifically negotiation.

A city police officer, found guilty last year of assaulting a female colleague's girlfriend, received a conditional discharge
Wednesday.
Const. Jarrott Forsyth, 35, was placed on a probation for 12 months with a number of conditions
when he appeared in a local courtroom for sentencing.
The 10-year-member of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service was convicted of an assault on the
partner of fellow officer Melanie Roach after he became embroiled in an altercation with Roach.

A court order prohibits reporting any information that could identify the complainant

Michael Marin's lawyer wasn't far into his cross-examination Wednesday of the woman, who has accused
his client of sexually abusing her over a number of years, when he suggested incidents she told
the court about "didn't happen."
"This didn't occur at all," Bruce Willson maintained.
"It absolutely did," she insisted.

The application came as a surprise

ust before the complainant was to begin her testimony at Michael Marin's sexual abuse trial Wednesday
afternoon, his lawyer Bruce Willson asked the judge to declare a mistrial.
The defence motion came on the heels of Superior Court Justice Edward Gareau's decision earlier
in the day, denying a Crown request that the woman be permitted to give her evidence by closed-circuit
television.
It took both Gareau and prosecutor David Kirk by surprise.

A lawyer representing about 20 Sault Ste. Marie businessmen has asked the city to ensure a new peddler
and food vendor bylaw creates a level playing field for local and mobile vendors.
Joseph Greco said his clients are not concerned about the competition that often sees a Vaughan-based
mobile business sell meat, cheese and seafood from the back of a truck in different residential
areas of the city.
